Après des débuts en tant qu’autodidacte, Nicky Disaro est, de 1989 à 1995, l’élève de Luc Verger, peintre Montmartrois, disciple de Vlaminck et Matisse. Depuis elle s’exprime sur la toile à l’huile au couteau, comme son maître.
En 1997, elle s’installe au Barcarès (France, 66). Elle travaille seule, inspirée par la mer, les paysages de l’arrière-pays méditerranéen, la lumière du Sud et ses nombreux voyages.
Elle est référencée Artiste Peintre professionnelle dans le guide de cotation Drouot depuis 2003. Elle a participé à de nombreuses expositions en Belgique, Allemagne, Espagne, Chine et Japon.
Nicky started painting on her own about 25 years ago. Between 1989 & 1995, she became the student of Luc Verger, the Montmartre painter who worked with Matisse and de Vlaminck. Verger taught her oil painting with a knife, a technique she hasn’t stopped using since.
In 1997, she settled in Barcarès, near Perpignan and the Spanish border. She works alone in her studio overlooking the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenean. She is inspired by the sea as well as the Mediterranean landscape and its unique atmosphere.
She is a professional artist and her works have been referenced in “Drouot Cotation” since 2003 and “Coté Arts”. She has participated to exhibitions in Belgium, Germany, Spain, China and Japan.
